It Takes a Village

There are more than 800,000 children and youth in foster care in the U.S.; approximately 25,000 youth “age out” or emancipate from foster care each year.

If these trends continue, by the year 2020, there will be over 9,000,000 children and youth in foster care in the U.S. And of those, 300,000 a year will age out.

When a foster child turns 18 or finish high school, they are no longer the state's responsibility. Of these, 44% are less likely to complete high school.  We need these numbers to change, our youth is our responsibility.  It takes a village to raise a child. We raise funds to offer scholarships to foster youth so that they can reach for the sky and attend college.
